In this piece I explore the historical and mystical side of black mirrors.

Traditionally used for scrying (looking into the future), black mirrors became forbidden objects during the 19th century and even those used by landscape painters, such as Claude Lorrain, were locked away in the vaults of museums for the ‘safety’ of the public until quite recently.
